I've just posted an article explaining today's changes to Lite, demos, 30 day trials and serial numbers - http://www.cantabilesoftware.com/blog/article-177.html

Good for you. Your deserve to be compensated for your hard work, and I often thought Cantabile Lite was just too darn good to be free. I'll upgrade from 1.2 immediately.

I am happy that you didn't go for online activation.
Pity that there isn't any free teaser version any more.
Hope that shifting more towards pro will work out for you.
Good luck

Waaaah!!!
I just got back into the home computer music hobby this week, only to find the Cantabile Lite link on KVR is dead. I'm three months late! As a home hobbyist perhaps $49 is a bit steep for features that I probably won't use. I can understand getting rid of the free version, but why not make a solid, feature-reduced, barebones version and charge $20-$25?. (Please?)
I will try the Solo demo after trying VSThost to get a better feel of the features and over-all stability of each. But it looks like the Lite version would have been perfect.
I have no doubt that I will want to buy Cantabile Solo, but it just looks like a lot more that I really need.
Again, Waaaah!!! QQ!!! Waaaah!!!
I'm back. VSThost works ok. But I'm going to buy Cantabile Solo. Its worth it just for the beautiful UI.

It's not, though. In a startlingly short time, you'll depend upon features you don't really understand now. You'll start to think $49 cheap. Give the trial version a good workout, to see what I mean.TerryR wrote:Waaaah!!!

This thing is just well thought out. You know what you want, but Robinson knows what you need. He has been well ahead of me, at any rate.
