Just started using my JD-990 Expanded again and I realised that in order to listen to the Vintage board patches, I have to load them one by one. :dog:

Does anyone know if there are any sysex files of these Vintage board patches so I can load them all in one go?

Also, does anyone have another board installed than the Vintage one? Just saw a good price for the Orchestra expansion (SR-JV80-02) and I wonder how that sounds in the JD-990.

Thanks,
Peter.

All kinds of goodies there.
Wow, thank you, looks like there are patches from the Vintage board in sysex format on that site! 8)

No worries. The Orchestral Expansion patches are there as well as a JD990 sysex transfer program, which is great for building/archiving banks.

I'm curious about the Orchestral card too. There's some great demos here:

Particularly like the first sample. Stringtastic. If you can get the card cheap enough I'd go for it. It's a pity you can't install more than one card at a time though :(

You don't have to load the patches in order to listen to them. You can play them as you browse them with the scroll wheel. If you want to use a certain patch, then yes you will need to load it of course.

Thank you, Peter!

I bought one with the Vintage Synth card on the net a few days ago. I haven't got it yet, so just wondering how many expansion cards can be installed at once, and what type of cards it supports. I know JV-SR cards will work. I have a Fantom XR wich can hold 6 SRX cards But I'm guessing I can't use those with the JD-990, can I? If someone could supply a complete list of the different card types and titles, that would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
