just bought the jh edition of amplitube.. i must say it poo's all over my copy of podfarm.. pity it contains no delay within.. why?
anyway i'd swap the 100+ amps/effects in podfarm platinum for the small handfull of stuff in the I.K jimi edition for sure!,,, they sound so very nice.
I.K, wont you load a delay either in there or x-gear so i can use it standalone and enjoy the very low latency performance?

IK have had amazing delays in the past, only think of Amplitube II's release.

As far as guitar delays go you have to be picky, I always come back to PSP 42 for classic delays and to the TAL Dub I/II for tape, lately UA's Cooper and EMT 250 have joined the favourites. All the mentioned ones somehow love electric guitars, and they're less static than most others, a bit more organic perhaps.

was just trying to stay with standalone mode for live performance..
noticably lower latency than running it in, say ableton.

OK, that's different, you'll have to stay with AT then.
Fender includes a really good delay afair.

just tried it in reaper.. nice low latency,(144 buffer thru my novation x-station interface..a bit under 10ms ) added fabfilter timeless.. still no glitching

I dont know why ableton seems to add so much latency, its noticably different on the same buffer settings !!??

even added t-racks fairchild and pultec to the chain and it still runs ok in reaper at that low setting.. might got to buy reaper now

Ah! You've just found one of Ableton's little quirks. I had the same issue and started noticing it when I upgraded to v8. Here's the deal. Live puts and extra track buffer in there so it can do it's stuff "live" and have the user not experience gaps, pops and crackles. Go into prefs and under CPU set the track buffer size to something like 64 or lower if your CPU can handle it. This should fix your latency problem.

As for your delay problem... I guess Jimi didn't use one? No matter, you want Amplitube Fender anyway. Trust me, you do. It's delay is awesome. Until then there are a few nice freeware delays like retrodelay that sound great.

oh ok ,i'll try that.. i always had that set on 'same as plugin' or something like that.. thanks

it says 'plug in buffer size'
and i have it set to- 'as audio buffer'
i'm still with ableton v6 here .
I'll experiment with it tomorrow.. its almost 1.30 am and i gotta do some dishes and go to bed

Hey, while you're doing the dishes can you let me know which way the water swirls on it's way down?

This should help though. I don't get any noticeable latency... I think my track buffer is set at 64.
