How register the Infinite PLayer Library or IP itself?

Hi!
I just ordered IP Starter pack and the Deluxe Piano for IP and installed it.
So the little icon inside the Player tells me that the lib is running in demo mode ... so I need to register it.
Now, I did own the Kontakt Player 2 before (Steven Slate drums). This one is registered already.
I didn't receive (or didn't find) any serial number for those IP libraries and the player itself
Will I get them from esoundz?
Or how does it work?
Registering with the NI Service Center is only possible with any serial number that do NOT own yet.
Cheers Jens

I bought an IP product and somehow the serial number didn't get to me (at least not an NI-format serial number). I think it was allen@esoundz(dot)com ... who got me sorted.

The Infinite Player Libraries need to have the Infinite Player installed - so they can be unlocked. You should have the IP Serial Number (Registration key?) in your eSoundz Downloads area. Maybe Allen has to add the key manually, as it is a third-party licenced product? Install and Register Infinite Player (through the NI Service Center) and you should be good to go.MountainKing wrote:Now, I did own the Kontakt Player 2 before (Steven Slate drums). When you are sorted out, please let us know if the SSD drums can be used in Infinite Player and if the IP durms can be used in the SSD Player.

I had one copy of Kontakt 2 Player for both Infinite Player and GPO, but there was a separate serial number for each - unlike Kompakt player where each instrument had its own player.
K3.5 is different yet.

You were right, I found the serial in my downloads area!
So, it was a confusing and weird process but now it seems that I got it finally!
(1) Kontakt Player 3 seems to be one and the same for both applications (in the end there're 3 but more later).
(2) When I open the Kontakt Player 3 I can (now) see all the libraries that have been "free-d" with the NI service center which are (in my special case):
- Steven Slate Drums LE
- Infinite Player Instruments (Sonor Kits and Piano)
and
- free Kontakt Factory selection (that came with the free Kontakt Player 3).
It seems that even the Kontakt Player is basicly the same engine.
It got a bit confusing since I firstly installed the new free Kontakt Player with its factory sounds. Maybe that was the reason why it always opended as "Kontakt 3" (not Player 3) which drove me nearly mad. I didn't want the Kontakt Demo, I just wanted to use the new Player in version 3 with my libraries
Now it works. I had to uninstall everything and set it up newly. First installed SSL and IP and THEN Kontakt Factory content.
Now it opens up everytime as "Kontakt Player 3" which I intended!
Now I have to dig in the multi out routing issues. I will come back with questions for sure.
Thanks again!

Good Oh!
So you can have Drum Master / Steven Slate mixed kits?
For IP routing and other stuff see this:

Basically, there are a bunch of different elements involved that tend to confuse people and I am on a mission to try to make it easier - at least for people getting our Kontakt-based products.
With regard to the Kontakt Player, even if you already have it you do in fact need a serial for another "player" (such as Infinite Player, OWD Expandable Player or another company's player that comes with their library) which acts as an "unlock code" for the content (rather than it really being yet ANOTHER actual player... it all works in the SAME Kontakt Player - as you guys realized). That's an NI thing. It's confusing and the best we can do is explain it clearly to people in a way that will be understood. So I am working on that.
Next thing is where to expect to get the serial. I've seen this question come up a few times so we're obviously going to have to be more clear about that too. It is feedback like this that let's us know we can improve it and we are all about improving the experience for you guys so it is as smooth as possible.
The unique way that our system installs sounds so it can be "modular" (ie. a la carte instruments being possible to add to our Kontakt Player which is a rare feature and we had to make a custom installer to do for the library) is tricky with regard to UNZIP this (the player) but don't UNZIP that! (the sounds - you are supposed to just drag and drop the zip of the sounds onto our library installer). The amount of people that have had confusion with that is enough for us to have to think of a way to make this a little easier somehow. Maybe we'll use a different format besides zip if possible because people's first instinct is to unzip a zip. So unless we put in BIG BOLD LETTERS "DON'T UNZIP THIS!!!!!!" - and even then some people don't read any instructions so... maybe the answer is to make them RAR or even some obscure compressed format that no one would think to do anything with until they read the instructions. I am not sure but I can tell you that we DO want to solve this so you guys don't have to wonder.
