Sorry if there is a thread about this already I scanned the first few pages of the forum and could not immediately see anything.

So, I was thinking of going for the Stealth Pedal as the initial option but I see on a couple of the PowerGroup Crossgrade options the following note:
Note *** as always, eSoundz will come up with something free on the top of this deal : more details will be published soon ***
Any idea when the details will come?

Like I say I was thinking of the Stealth Pedal as another input option instead of my POD and FBV shortboard - particularly as there are "issues" with POD & PODfarm in Mackie Tracktion that look unlikely to be resolved anytime soon. That would give me the ability to use the pedal to input events (like wah) that I do not have with the POD (at least I don't think so.

Was going to buy from the UK, as that's where I am, and there seems to be a time limit on registering the first item to be able to participate in the PowerGroup. That said if there will be the usual "extras" from eSoundz, but not with the Stealth perhaps I should forego the pedal and wait a little longer. Indeed perhaps I don't need the pedal anyway?

Thoughts on a postcard (or better still a reply here :)

Post

I can't speak for Sonic Reality as to what extras we'll see, but I can give my thoughts on the StealthPedal. It is a very good interface and will give you nice control over your sounds as you describe. I use the main pedal for wah and also for things like volume on one of two amps running in parallel, or a touch of gain to further dirty things up when necessary, etc. X-Gear is great and makes these things easy to set up and save with the presets.

The good thing about it is if you get the StealthPedal now they should still be selling the ones that come with Metal included. You then basically start with a 3x1! Metal is also a great product in and of itself, even if you don't play metal per se. I don't, but I still find Metal the go-to for leads.

Post

Not sure if it's only the Stealth Deluxe that comes with the Metal included? Looks like it from tonight's search on 'tinternet. So can I get away with that  and actually do I need to? I suppose it would save having to use the 2x1 to crossgrade the Amplitube2 and leave me free to go for the Ampeg SVX and possibly Hendrix if it hits the top.

Choices, choices!?!

For a limited time, the regular StealthPedal includes Deluxe and I believe Squids said they still had some of those. Give Allen [at] esoundz [dot] com a shout and he can surely confirm.

Though the Deluxe is an excellent deal with this too so you could just check of they have stock on that :)

Cheers. It did cross my mind to check with Allen. If that is so and there are some still available that seems the way to go

So the deed is done & you have my thanks with some pointz :)

Looks like you need to search a bit further round the IKM site to find the ref to Metal as included, but we got there in the end.

Yes, that's the best "deal" in this one. Smart! You essentially got a FREE Stealth Pedal!!!! Think about it... everyone should get this option IMO. But, as I mentioned, the Stealth Pedal option is only while supplies are available. Once IK goes through all the current stock I am not sure if the next "batch" will be ready before this promo is done. I try to warn you guys of stuff like that when I hear about it because I asked. With hardware it takes awhile for a new batch to be made and I thought "Well, what happens if this sells out?" the answer: Back Order. Now, I DO think we could still get you the serial that comes with Stealth Pedal so you could register it and get your freebies and the pedal itself delivered later but... why wait? Get the Stealth Pedal from eSoundz NOW while we have them and can ship it to you! Don't wait until IK is out of them and we can't get anymore. Also if other stores order up all the stock then we won't be able to get more then either and this one is hot. We've ordered about 50 on hand though but you know how fast that can potentially fly once people realize THAT is a 3 for 1 already! (and could be a 4 for 1 if it reaches IK's next level).

All of that plus this week we're announcing ADDITIONAL "raise the deal" extras!

Nice, thank you! I'm glad to see someone get the StealthPedal. I've got mine sitting on the floor next to me and an expression pedal waiting to be attached to it soon.

Might take you up on that with the vagaries of International post - if it isn't winging it's way already

Great! I got my extra expression pedal and need to hook that up - have fun with yours tonight.

I am pushing to get the new AmpliGrooves 2.0 titles out by the end of next week. Let's hope! Adds a little spice to the current IK AmpliTube promo when buying from www.esoundz.com (note: some people made the mistake last time of buying TR Singles from IK direct but wanted the extras from esoundz... we can't do that! You have to buy it FROM esoundz and remember we DO have download versions too so...).

BTW we also have something ELSE to jam with as well coming out. Very cool in fact. I think you'll like it!

Much fun today loading and and messing with everything.

I see what you mean about Metal as a go to for leads. I was doodling with my Peavey Generation EXP and it sounded HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE :D Me like.

Seems to be a bit of a memory hog using it with Tracktion. Two versions of XGear running plus DrumCore3 running and CPU usage was up over 50%. I think perhaps I need to get comfortable with the sound and then print it to free up memory (running a 2.5 Dual Powermac G5 with 6 meg RAM). In fact I may need to have a bit of a housekeep on the Mac as it has taken to falling over on a fairly regular basis recently

I realise there needs to be more than just a sound but playing with Metal & Amplitube 2 generally today got me inspired to put down some more stuff. Now all I need is to remember what I was playing while jamming along to DC3 when the red light goes on, or just start leaving it in record all the time I am jamming and then cut out the bits I like.

As a matter of interest what expression pedal did you get? I can see that, plus a couple of footswitches to connect in would be useful along the way

Sorry I missed this, and if you missed the post in the other threads I am buscemi now working at IK Multimedia (woo hoo!), or I'd have answered. I actually had a pretty cheapo expression pedal that functioned OK for the most part but was terribly shabby build-wise. I upgraded to our own expression pedal that is built solid and functions perfectly. Though again - any would work, just keep an eye on build quality if you are going to play live especially or if you don't want something to break quickly in the studio

Yes, I would recommend printing sounds when you can - remember the preferences can be set to be CPU-friendly while tracking (though it still sounds dang good) and you can bump everything up mix time. I just print tracks when I can. You can keep the dry track around and "reamp" it through another set of settings later anyway.

Interesting, I need to delve deeper as I always seem to be pushing CPU limit. Perhaps I should'nt be running so many tracks of guitar

Picked up a second expression pedal and it works fine. Only using all this kit in the home studio so it should be robust enough for that.

I dived a bit early and jumped in twice to get everything (and have one spare that I could pass on) and then came on today to find it could be 4x1 - eminently doable the way this is going - so probably didn't need to. Ah well.

If you're at IK now perhaps you can answer one question I have. I've now got all the Amplitube bits - 2, Metal, Fender, Hendrix and SVX - but I still get a message saying I am missing an item when I load some patches (mainly from Hendrix or Fender) but what AM I missing?

Is it trying to load something from CSR or T-Racks, both of which I have - well 1.1.0.b and 1.3 and some of TR3 from another GB anyway?
