Sometimes having a poor memory is a good thing. Unfortunately, my recall is just unreliable rather than completely failing. I woke up this morning remembering the title and artist name of the earliest single I can remember buying. I would have been coming up for my seventh birthday (old enough to know better...)

Side B: You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)

Stopped playing side A soon after I bought it, because I bought Let It Be as my first album. However, my little brother became obsessed with Side B. We heard You Know My Name at least four or five times a week for over three YEARS on his portable record player. To this day, I have every nuance of that track in my head.

I had that single and I loved to play it because my brother hated it.

Wow. I was 21 when that one came out. Don't think I was buying singles anymore in college.

first single- i think it was doug e fresh and the get fresh crew-the show

it may have been something else, but this is the first one i remember annoying my olds.

I have still got it although it got broken in a move when I was about 12

, still kept it though, purely because it was the first. I think I was about 8 when it came out.
