Normally there's a 'Teaser' thread.. tbh I was thinking about starting one, but not quite satisfied enuff to put something up - however, there's nothing to stop you posting one
If you look back through the forum you'll find the 06 and 07 teaser threads, which had audio and graphic clips posted to start to get interest and anticipation..
Go to it

My synth absolutely canes cpu, and i'm having trouble getting it down. I can run on 2.6 ghz single core(7 years old) just. I'm not sure whether I can enter it like that. Also I'm not sure if I want to make it a commercial project rather than for DC. Would you like to beta test though? I tried one wavetable and the result wasn't too bad. It's one of the presets. I'll have to get out your version 2 and take it for a spin
.
Cheers man
btw if I am making commercial products can I still sample the VB?

vb303 is absolutely freeware, you can do whatever you want with the audio output ;]
you got too much CPU? hm, SynthEdit plugin, right? have you found out where is the problem?
sometimes people do silly mistakes that lead to having whole sections downstream (which could be 16x times bad, if your polyphony is 16)
walk thru your project and check the individual CPU meters of each module, some might be "cloned" where there is no sense of polyphony
btw, my synth is a CPU-hungry monster too, but i don't care ;]

Nice, thanks a bundle!
It's an SM plug. Thanks for the tips though, I'm trying to find the hungry modules. I'll shoot you a copy if I can get it reasonable. A scope was making a difference on my old P4, but not on my new quad. I'm not sure what else is taking a chunk out of it. I think it may be just the number of polyphonic streams. It has 3 step sequencers making three note polyphony going to 5 oscillators to 2 fx lines and modulation options along the way. There are so many links.
Cheers

Here is a recording of me scrolling through the presets so far->

It's a rared mp3. There are no other effects or sequencers
Cheers

does the GUI (or anything else in the synth) uses any GPU acceleration/computation?
when i load the synth, my screen goes messed up (i think my video card is buggy)
i *can* see the GUI only when i drag another window over it, it's probably when it updates it's GUI only from a buffer, and not drawing it from scratch..
looks grey ;]
CPU is bad indeed, i had to increase my buffer almost to the maximum (Core2 Duo, 2x 2.8GHz, WinXP)
i managed to listen to the presets, well, sounds pretty flexible, but i can't see how it happens
you should probably reduce the polyphony, or talk with the guys on your SM forums about how you can optimize it, i'm pretty sure there are some things there that don't need to be in the polyphonic stream
so, CPU the only thing that needs to be taken care of.. and i'll probably have to test it on my old PC (which also has video problems, but slightly different, so it *might* work there)

That sounds so analog and old skool funk Jobro. Fair play!

Very niice L-day, far more musical than my demo, but can it do hardstyle?
