yes, it's great, although there's one thing bothering me: on the higher notes one can clearly hear the loops of the generated wavetable/sample ... if that would be ironed out, then this would be quite something ...i love the zynaddsubfx padsynth, but it's too buggy, so the rock hardburn version would be quite something ...

Yes, it's a kind of additive synthesis, only each partial is given a bandwidth, rather than just a single frequency. This creates massive cancellation effects, similar to those of a reverb. Paul Nasca who wrote zynaddsubfx invented it.

Yeah. It's fairly simple to fix by multi-sampling so to speak (shifting the FFT array).
Padpal is intended to be an absolute minimal implementation, and I kind of like to keep it that way. (I use it mostly for simple ghost chords and other background stuff.)
But I am planning a more elaborate version, or was planning, for DC09. I probably wont make it though, so it will have to be a regular freebee. It will have multi-sampling.

Could you please look into stereo generation too? for now it is a bit unpredictable, one can get heavy tilts to a side or even almost completely out of phase signal with fairly moderate settings.Rock Hardbuns wrote:Yeah.
