Hi.

During search for the problems I had with VstSynthFont I found something else...

When I use a rack as master efx (like reverb) and route other racks' audio there via partial send Cantabile can't be properly exited - looks like a kind of endless loop anywhere - it's no real crash. Trying to load a new session does not work in this state.

Both - the latest official build and the experimental build as well seem to behave similar here.

OK, I'll check it out - though I've not noticed it before. Is this related to the plugin's you're using? Do you need to use plugins at all - can you repro just by routing the racks?

I've just tried it with empty racks... seems to happen there too.... at least in Vista64... not yet in NT which makes things complicated I guess...

Rack 1 as target, rack 2-4 as partial senders to rack 1. Then click "new" for new session and it stalls. Vista also opens it's warning window for non responsive applications...

Maybe it could be related to the optimized VST reuse option too? ...just cant find the toggle for this in the settings...

Basically I'm using the latest Virus TI 3.3beta stuff, i.e. 64bit drivers and the latest TI plugin. Seemes to work well.

For effects I use the free Luxonix LFX 1310 a lot - it's flexible and not too heavy loading - so not high end either.

Other plugins I use are NI B4II, NI Akoustik Piano, some Arturia plugins and some other free stuff. Lately I'm just checking out EMU's free Proteus VX.

I was not sure seeing just ghosts or having special issues with my installation, plugins and/or Vista...

I'm using lite version here, and "send to" section is not recalled at all. Nor are the send knobs (but that's obvious).

I'm using "Performer" and as far as I remember it's the only version that supports partial send at all.

With the latest update the issue seems to be fixed - don't panic!

Partial sends are intended to be used with effect racks and allow peeling of a percentage of the output audio signal from one rack and sending it to another.

Actually, partial sends are now in all versions of Cantabile including Lite. Unfortunately however there's currently a bug in both Solo and Lite that prevents the partial assignments from being saved. I'm working on a fix right now...
