I've wanted to mention this book a few times on this forum for a few reasosn
-- first all its lessons are in two formats: staff notation as well as explicit left hand /right hand note style i.e C B / E G so it's very useful for anyone who doesn't read music

it's basically about jazz harmony and open voicing
and since I've (self-taught) myself to play one note in the bass and play a pretty closed voicing in the right hand (though I have progressed to starting on the 3rd) this book is something I come back to whenever I have time to try and expand my 'style' to more open voicing (and eventually I'll work up to rootless chapters)

I wouldn't keep coming back except these open voicings sound incredibly rich (esp on a real piano that's in tune) and also pose the usual mental exercise of playing what you think are familar chords in a differnt configuration

highly recommended
