I just downloaded Cantabile and I am not getting any sound out of the software. I have two midi devices connected via a midi interface. I have a Presonus FP10 and I have numerous VST Instruments which I wanted to play with my keyboard and my midi violin using two different VSTs simultaneously. First of all, is that possible and next, how come I have no sound. It is showing that the devices are connected because when I hit the keyboard or the violin the keys on the computer keyboard light up and the sound meter moves but no sound comes out. Help!!!!
My host program is Cubase 4 and I wanted a program that I can use live and play different vst sounds and I can't figure it out in Cubase. I hope this program does it.
Thanks,
Adrienne

I just figured it out. I had to select the correct audio driver and reset the output.
Now, I need to know how to set up separate VSTs using my violin and my keyboard?
Thanks,
Adrienne

Hi Adrienne,
I've already sent you an email about this, but the simplest way is:
1. Set violin and keyboard to each send MIDI on a different MIDI channel (consult the manual for each on how to do this). Alternatively, if you have more than one MIDI-in port on your PC, connect each to a different port.
2. Create 2 racks in Cantabile and load a VSTi into each one.
3. Set each rack to respond to a different MIDI device and/or MIDI Channel. By default racks respond to Any Device/Omni Channel.
I hope this helps.
