Hi there,
it seems that the ReWire VST is now available without the boxed version.
While I hoped for getting ReWire in the download version as well, I am a bit surprised that it is a paid update!
That is a bit of a pitty.
Regards,

that's kind of a bummer, but still it's cool that it's at least possible to rewire stuff in now. i dont think i'm going to buy it. i will use live instead and rewire as many things as i like, using energyxt as a plugin like i have been i guess.Note: only one ReWire VST can be loaded at one time.
hi subs and mello.

The demo seems to be fully working but the "buy now" button on the VST is disabled.
I had a quick go and exported a wave with no problems.
Does the demo time out or something ?

nope. only one rewire slave at a time, and only one instance of the rewire vst plugin. however it's pretty insanely cool to have a vst wrapper plugin for rewire, which is what this is since it isn't ext specific. still, i'll stil with live as my rewire master.

i shall be testing the demo later on reason 4 at another studio
we can both report our findings
if this dose work well it will be useful to users of other hosts as well i guess

Sorry to moan, but I'm not impressed with having to pay extra for a future that normally come as part and parcel with a DAW. If rewire is offered by a DAW it comes free with it, or does not offer it at all.
I know e-XT is very cheap in comparison to most other DAW's and if you don't want rewire this keeps the price down, but I still think it should be a free add on on to anyone who already owns a copy of Energy XT

It doesn't support transport sync so there is no using this with Renoise unless i have missed a setting
In fact i can only see this being useful for hosts that have an instrument built in you can't get as VST
Would have been way more powerful with host sync so that you could sync up Acid and Renoise and so on
Still its a nice first step
