Actually, Modplug has a "random volume variation" option on it's internal instruments, but it would be nice to have a VST for that...

Connect modulation of midi LFO to volume fader and choose noise as waveform?

If you're on a PC, I could build you one of those in about 10 minutes! ... PM me if you dont find what you're after, and I'll knock one out for you :)

OK, I'm slightly on the busy side at the moment, but I'll make it tonight ... if there are any features you want added, just say so and I'll do my best :) i will at the very least have something basic but effective done by tonight, and we can take it from there!

cheers! this is my list, for the single LFO midi controller
- different waveforms http://www.churchofeuthanasia.org/whorl ... eforms.gif
- LFO syncable to host tempo with the possibility to get free of sync
it would be cool if the LFO can be syncable at 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64 beats,
as in 2 rule filter http://www.kvraudio.com/get/2899.html
(i ask this cauze it would be very useful for wooble, i.e. change the LFO beats from 1/4 to 1/8 n 1/16 is a dubstep technique)
- LFO offset LFO depth to control the level of the LFO (or a sort of minimum and max course value)
- MIDI learn :D

i hope to be on basics, maybe midi learn is not, but it would be cool have it, anyway take your time u don't need to build it in a night! i got the name of the vst too: The Wooblelator or Wobbulator

OK, a plug is born! ... seems to work fine in basic tests.... i'll upload it and come back with a link. :)

"Im busy ...So I'll do it tonight".

Wow, my kinda guy. 8)

I'd love this plug too! :)

Ideally, it would have some tweakable rules. ie I don't want the first hat to be on a velocity of 100 and the next right down to 20! Maybe a percentage of random velocity choice, giving the 100% as 120?

OK, here it is .... 'Varivoli'

http://www.4shared.com/file/167637020/f ... ivoli.html

I was going to call it something like voll-wince .... an anagram of vileclown, but then I thought, "naaah!"

Its tiny, its mono, it is designed with percussion in mind, and it only has 3 controls.

The first is a sensitivity setting. Set this according to the VU meter as if you are finding a good recording level. This does not affect the volume of the audio through .... its just that the volume is adjusted by a sample and hold, triggered by the quiet/silent part of the gated signal ... so it needs that internal optimal hi/lo feed. ... it may be advantageous to gate the drums if the desired effect is elusive due to strong tails, sustained sounds, or where there is a lot of reverb.

The other two controls are easy .. 'variator' controls the volume deviation, and 'vol' does what it says on the tin!

Try it out anyway, I will need to tweak it a litle more I think, and i'm not entirely sure that presets 2 to 8 are behaving as well as they should .... but all in good time :)

EDIT .... presets 2 to 8 fixed, re-upped, link updated.

I'm gonna give it a try, now...

Cool DNM .... let me know how you get on ..... and no mention of the GUI!!! ... its crap!! ... and proud! :hihi:

wow tattiemannie you are amazing.. i love it.. is there a way you could adjust the speed of the volume if i wanted to the volume to slowly randomly change over time? not always so fast changing.. that would be my last request :)!! thanks allot for your help
