Upgrade to Sonik Synth?

Hi and Happy Holidays,

I have Sonic Synth (1), plus the Piano Collection, Symphony Strings, Acoustic Drums, Bass Collection, Piano Collection, Guitar Collection, and Combi Drums.

I am considering picking up Sonik Synth (2) while it is on sale. Two quick questions:

1> Does Sonik Synth (2) contain any of the Sonic Synth (1) add ons listed above? It would be nice to have fewer disks to reload when doing yearly refresh of my DAW.

2> What is on offer for Sonik Synth (2) that adds to what I have already with Sonic Synth (1) and add ons?

Sonik Synth 2 is a complete sound module plug-in with over 8 gigs of sounds and the largest archive of vintage synthesizers ever assembled as well as a full synthesizer workstation.

The original Sonik Synth 1 was a workstation sound set, 2 gigs in size that shipped only with a SampleTank LE engine. The new Sonik Synth 2 has its own interface and a dedicated focus on sound design that makes it far beyond just a sequel to the original Sonik Synth.

Those add-ons are not in SS2, but you can still use them in a SampleTank 2 engine. ST2 will also load the SS2 sounds (and the SS1 sounds, I think). So you would still need to load the disks each year - but why not copy the complete library to an external disk and restore it from there?
