Hi,
I'm testing Cantabile Performer to see if it's suitable for my needs.
One fetaure I like and I absolutely need is the media player (I need audio backing tracks to be played).
To specifically test this feature I created two subsessions and loaded two media files.
Each of these two media files is enabled on a specific subsession.
Switching between the two subsessions (manually or via program change) when I hit play on the enabled media file (manually but overall via control change), often, I can't hear anything even if the cursor moves along the waveform.
Hitting stop and play the audio comes back again.
Any suggestion ?
Here is my setup:
- Win XP SP3 32bit
- M-AUDIO Profire 610
Thanks and Regards
No media file audio after subsession selection

Just tested on another laptop with different setup to check if something different could happen.
Same results.
Set Up:
Cantabile Performer Trial - 2.0.0.2049 32bit (same as above)
Asio4All drivers
WinXp SP3 32bit
2 media files on Group 0
2 subsessions with only 1 media file enabled each
Midi assignments:
Load Specific Subsession (the first) - Program change 1
Load Specific Subsession (the second) - Program change 2
Play/Stop media group - Note A0
TEST:
1) Sent program change 1 - Result: Subsession 1 loaded
2) Pressed A0 - The first media file plays correctly (the audio is present)
3) Pressed A0 - The first media files stops playing
4) Sent program change 2 - Result: Subsession 2 loaded
5) Pressed A0 - The second media file plays (cursor scrolling along the wave) but no audio is present (also the output meter shows no activity)
6) Pressed A0 - The second media files stops playing
7) Pressed A0 - The second media file plays correctly (the audio is present)
If I switch subsession again sending program changes I got the same situation as above(point 5 to 7)
Please let me solve this issue so that I can buy the product and work on my live setup.
Ciao

Hi.
Did you already send your findings via mail to Topten Software? If not please do so. I am sure Brad will look into this as what you describes sounds like a bug.
