Nice. I was anxiously awaiting this list. It's all actually pretty good stuff, aside from the needless SoundCloud integration. THe hotkey editor is very welcomed.

Sounds good!. Shame that i couldn't give the programme away at £170 though....
Anyway ive decided to keep it now. The updates are taking shape nicely

The demos sucked IMO. The guy doing the demos sounded like one of those late-night infomercial salesmen selling blenders.

I've found Studio One to be a really lovely piece of software, probably the closest to how I would design a DAW of all those I have used and rock solid so far without a single crash. It did remind me a bit of XT a few years down the line if it took that sort of direction (which I know it never will). Also reminds me a bit of Podium which is another good DAW that gets little attention.
The price of it is my only bone of contention. Whats there is great and at the moment the only thing I would want is folder tracks although I miss it less than I ahve done in other DAWS. But I feel like the price is for what Studio One will be in the future, and not what it is now. £350 is waaaay too much for what you get. £199 would be an appropriate price considering its features and the selection of plugins you get with it, with an increase in the price in the future once it has more features.

Someone actually has enough time on their hands to edit all this. Geez...

I like Studio One but can't justify the price. I like the main screen to select projects or song, artist info, etc. Soundcloud integration should be cool; word is Ableton is adding this to Live "soon".
Meh.

That is my objection. I should download the demo again though (here on the vista drive) and see if it works better than the first time. I'd love something different than cubase (yes I know about the diffs and that it's ex-cubase guys who made it)KrisM wrote:I like Studio One but can't justify the price.

I paid 100 for artist and then 170 for the upgrade to pro, which I think is reasonable.
The more I use it the more I like it.

I picked Pro up used for about $280 and for that price I think it is incredible. I already uninstalled every other DAW (and quite a few plugins) from my system and am solely using Studio One now. I just hope they get enough people interested to keep it going for the long term.

Workflow is great; I have had issues with the prosonus plugs not being happy with other developers being in the insert chain on a track though so beware I have had bursts of noise.dmacintyre wrote:I picked Pro up used for about $280 and for that price I think it is incredible.
