organ 3 spl1?

I want to buy a one keyboard controller. I am interested in how the one keyboard work on a spl 1 mode (split mode)on Organ 3? Whether one half can control the''upper''and the other half ''lower'' manual? Something like keyzone on the keyboard?

If I buy keyboard with keyzone option and fix that Organ 3 work on midi channel 1
(In Organ3 manual instruction writes: If the midi channel set on channel 5, the upper manual receives information on channel 5 and lower manual on channel 6)
Whether will work if I split my keyboard and set first zone on channel 1 for upper manual and second zone on channel 2 for lower manual?

Whatever keyboard you buy, you can play upper and lower manual from it. Either by using a split feature of the keyboard itself (it would then send on two channels, Organ 3 would be "Normal" mode and receive upper and lower manual on these channels, 1 and 2 in your example).
OR when you use a keyboard without split, you can use "SPL1" mode on Organ 3 to adjust the split-point and again you can control upper and lower manual from the keyboard.

So either way, it will work, yes!
