Stability and soundquality matters to me.
Everyone seems to think the Synth1 are good Free Alpha (I think the basic 64 is good too). Any more really good free ones?

I really like Superwave P8. It's good for leads and basses (although I use Synth1 more for pads).

Define good? Well they should be able to handle bass/kicks/pads, allround type of synth, and no known problems (crashing hosts, clicks/pops/distortion, non buggy gui). A bonus is if you can see the real value of things like lfo, 8,37Hz etc. Non cryptic labels on the sliders/knobs.

You could check out the ones on this site, and try them with the presets from here as well to find something you like.

I'll have you know that Cowell is a brilliant talent scout who gave the public wonderful music from such talent as the Teletubbies, The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and the WWF. So the music that has been made public because of the likes of Cowell is (to quote Twain) really not as bad as it sounds.BERFAB wrote:...like Simon Cowell...handy wrote:something that'll make me rich like Simon Cowell even though I have zero talent and can't play any instrument ?Kriminal wrote:define good
And for that we lovers of great music shall forever be indebted to him.
