Hi

anybody out there knows how the import wav file thing is working?

I tried with 10 different files and all I get is a dialog:

Rhino Error

Error reading file $filename

I am on OSX 10.5 Logic using Rhino as AU

Thanks,
Daniel

Check for a video showing the process, as you can see it is straightforward.

Please note, this is for importing waves into the additive engine, i.e, single-cycle waves. If you want to import a full sample to use as an oscillator, you must define "external" waves. You can do this either with the Rhino legacy format, or with the newer sfz format. There are examples of both in the Rhino default install, in the waves/external directory.

By the way, feel free to send me one of those offending .wav files and I will check them out.

I was about to ask what makes a file work :-)

This one doesnt: http://www.freesound.org/samplesViewSingle.php?id=1948

ok, it's because for the time being, only 16 bits mono wav files are supported. The next version will automatically convert to mono at import time (by mixing channels).
