Been happily using Brainspawn Forte for a couple of years but was stopped in my tracks by a bug that wouldn't let me use the latest Omnisphere update. This coincided with my wish to go 64 bit so I decided to give the Cantabile demo a go.

Despite the fact that the bug in Forte was quickly adressed, Cantabile's 64 bit support (Forte's is only in beta) and integrated MIDI output routing (Forte requires the purchase of a separate plugin) quickly won me over and I've just purchased Cantabile Performer.

Why didn't you guys tell me how good this program is before I wasted my time and money on the other dead end?! :)

...don't blame me, I sometimes feel I do praise and recommend checking out Cantabile for live VST use too often... :D

Forte is around for many years now but I personally never liked it. It's more static and probably easier to use than Cantabile which sometimes gives some headache how to use all the great things it offers. I also think Cantabile's gui needs some tweaks to make the potential of it's advanced options better usable...

But to me it was my #1 since I tried it for the first time. :tu:

One point is that if I suggested something that Brad found to be a match it was implemented! Never experienced this in such a direct manner.
Best regards, TiUser
...and keep on jamming...
