I'm looking for an overdrive or dist effect with HP filter or BP filter (or similar)so I can decide exactly wich part of the sound being overdrived.
I've tried d16 multiband dist, but I think it's a little bit messy.
I'm a logic and mac user.

On CamelPhat the BP affect the whole sound as it seems, not just controling wich area to be distorted?
EDIT: Or use the filter section to the right believe.

Only the BP output is sent to the distortion unit / routed through the effects. The control labelled "BR Mix" (Band Reject Mix) below the BP filter allows you to mix the clean part of the original audio with the FX output.ferdik wrote:On CamelPhat the BP affect the whole sound as it seems, not just controling wich area to be distorted?
The end result is that only the audio within the BP filter range is affected. If the BP filter controls are set up correctly, you can use it has a high or low pass filter too.

cammel phat does the job but if i want my hp/bp sound to have a lot more presence and definition i use walforf d-pole. The filter has got such a filthy crisp overdive that really gives the sound a bite.

That waldorf dpole is the fugliest sounding filter i have ever heard,I got it in that waldorf pack with attack and some other vst, filter sounds really odd doesn't sweep very nicely so 'crisp' is the last word i'd use to describe that each to there own though eyjackrabbit wrote:cammel phat does the job but if i want my hp/bp sound to have a lot more presence and definition i use walforf d-pole. To OP why not just use the distortion of your choice then say if you want to shape the distortion through a bp put that first in the fx chain then whatever filter to sculpt the sound at the end of the chain.I tend not to use hps at the beginning of the chain cause if you play quite far down the notes can sound very odd if you plan to apply distortion on the bottom end which is something i don't tend to do anyway. bandsplitting ftw
