Awesome - off to the app store :)

I own no apple products, but another reason to buy the ipad on day 1.

Wow, what a flashback. I think rebirth was the first piece of sound creating software I bought. Unfortunately nostalgia only takes you so far. I found its zooming and scrolling on my 2g ipod touch a bit hit and miss and given how much you need to zoom and scroll, this is more than a bit irritating. Which is a shame because the scaling and attribution of touches to controls is pretty amazing, as is the fact that this is rebirth on a mobile device. So I have to say that I find audiorealism's technobox to be a superior app simply because the UI was designed with a small touchscreen in mind (I think the 303 sounds better, too, but that's definitely imho).

I think rebirth needs to be on the ipad rather than the small devices anyway. I'd imagine the full layout will fit the screen perfectly and you'd only need to zoom in occasionally.

Aww, the same here. But on a small screen as iPhone? It looks easy on the video but without testing it I think I agree with suthnear. After a while it must be tedious to zoom in and out all the time. Maybe they should have simplified the graphics, made a page for each unit and a mixer page.

Cool - you get to buy an app thats been free for years! Steve really is a marketing genious. In the UK - we had a company called K-tel that did exactly the same with stuff years ago lol

Anyone know if it can load up original Rebirth songs from a PC - I have a huge collection on my PC.

hope it supports the new line 6 ipad/midi IO interface, that would be totally awesome (on an ipad more than iphone tho)

Considering the work it must have taken to port this and to create the freely scalable UI*, £3.99 is hardly highway robbery...

* for those that haven't seen it, you can zoom into the UI with the standard spread gesture, just like you do with pictures, webpages, etc. Except in this case it's the actual UI and regardless of the scaling factor, every control seems to be active and tweakable (although this is obviously easier to do the more you zoom in). This would be pretty neat for plugins: you drag the corner of the UI to increase or decrease the size of the interface, and it remains fully operational throughout.

Well done Prop.heads! I had a plan to do something like that for the iPhone after releasing HammerHead for iPhone, but never got to it.

Looks cool! I'll give it a whirl - you can never have too many 303s in your pocket.

Hmmm... I hope we start seeing Android ports too. In time, Karas, in time. :hihi:

I'd buy it on HP/Palm WebOS in a heartbeat. And £3.99 is a steal. Hopefully a nice little cash injection for the Props too, so they can concentrate on putting the finishing touches to Reason 5.0
