Superb, huge range of sounds possible and it looks great too. Shame that the developer at http://omnitaur.se/ isn't currently accepting donations at the moment because even though it's free it's worth paying for!

Voyager. The original GUI sucked so I guess the dev didn't dare charge for it at first, but then passed away before fixing it and maybe converting it to a commercial synth.

Luckily Asseca found a way to put skins on top of VSTs and then Limeflavour made a killer one for it. Imo this synth beats a LOT of commercial synths even now.

Also, though not technically a synth (and not technically free - donationware)
is the EXCELLENT Mr Ray 22. I know a lot of folks go with the upgrade to 73, etc., but for my ears, the MELLOW patch on MR22 is the best EP tine emulation out there. I own a lot of Rhode/Whirly payware, and for sheer tone and expression, MR22 is IT.

Actually Crystal, I am surpised because its a very close competitor to Absynth. Too bad , its author no longer updates it , cause this synth could easily evolve to the ultimate freeware synth.
