Hello :)

Quick question.

I am using an Emu Xboard25 USB MIDI controller.

In St2 and Philharmonik (probably the same in Sonik Synth 2.. haven't tried )

If I load a sound and set the range to: Vel Lo 0, Vel Hi 53 then I don't hear anything when I play my keyboard (even hitting the keys as softly as possible). If I raise Vel Hi by 1, to 54, I hear a sound while taping very softly on the keyboard. Any idea why my keyboard seems to only start responding at 54 Velocity in ST2? I have another keyboard that is better (Alesis QS6.1) but I need to get a new MIDI interface (64-bit) before I can start using it. I can't test with it to see if the same thing happens.

Is it my current controller that is just not great or is there a setting somewhere I can change?

EDIT: Must be. Same thing happens with Halion 3.. probably because it's a cheap keyboard..

Thanks guys!

Insert this MIDI VST and you can monitor the velocity of the notes from your keyboard:
