Multiprocessor support

While checking out Rayzoons new Jamstix 3 demo I again fell over hefty timing load spikes when Jamstix gui has been opened.

See discussion on KVR thread:

But it looks like there is not only an issue with Jamstix but Cantabile multiprocessor support too. I start to think Cantabile should work much more efficient on multiple cores than it actually does... :-o

I've just made an experiment and put the latest Cantabile build 2056 on my old Pentum 4 notebook. It works worse to the versions before the audio engine changes.

No clue why but with simple Asio4All @128 or @256 samples buffer I got massive timing load spikes too - with simple plugins like FreeAlpha or B4II - which might use up to 15% on this machine and spiked to over 1000% resulting in massive crackles.

Going back to a pre audio engine redesign version got better behavior - so still showed some spiking but within the load capabilities and without crackles.

Then I got back to Cantabile 1.2 - no that's no typo - the very old version... and there is this spiking in the timing load meter too - about 4-5 times of the basic load.

I ask myself what's happening here... and got the audio engine even worse in the latest incarnations? Or do I do something wrong?
