I was just looking around my eSoundz Downloads.
Could someone clarify the differences between, and the contents of, the following downloads:
-- Kontakt Player 4 for PC - 564,942,950 bytes
-- Infinite Player Plug-In - 583,798,793 bytes
-- the .zip file on this link: "Download the PC version of Kontakt Player 3.5 here"
The first look look to be much more than just software. Do they contain NI's Factory libraries, too?
Q: Infinite Kontakt Players?

Here is the info that Allen kindly sent me:
Both the KP3.5 and KP4 are the free samplers from NI's website. The reason we offer them is the old Infinite Player installer installs the KP2 and since all our new material was written in 3.5, 2 will not work. NI did not want to go through the headache of writing us a new IP installer that installs 3.5 because at the time they were just about to release KP4.
- KP4 is taken right from NI's website zipped and placed on our site for download. It contains "some" factory content.
- Infinite Player is an installer that installs the Infinite Player folder structure.....not sure why you are seeing that many bytes......it's possible that that particular installer installs the Kontakt Player 2 along with the Infinite Player folder structure.
- KP3.5 taken from NI's website zipped and placed on our website for download.
Also a side note. Infinite Player is not really a player at all. It consist of the following:
An Infinite Player folder and the following 3 folders and 2 files inside
-- Instruments
--Multis
--Samples
StudioProfiles Infinite Player.info_nkc
StudioProfiles Infinite Player.info_nkx
So technically, there is no need for an Infinite Player installer. All you need is a folder structure like above with the info.nkx in it.
