I was changing preset while reaper was playing, and BANG! crashed..

i also noticed that it takes awhile to change presets, it feels kinda unstable. (i actually felt that its gonna crash..)

Well, yes, changing presets requires to precompute all these curves and envelopes, so this takes some time. But it shouldn't crash. I will give it a try with Reaper.

Hello

I've also had crashes while changing presets with Rhino in Reaper 3.651 (both AU and VST), Tracktion 3 (VST) and Garageband 09 (AU). And Live 8.13, come to think of it.

EDIT: This problem has now vanished and all is well.

I might have been. I'll note next time it happens. Is that bad practice? I've not had any problems with other plug-ins.

No, the plug-in should tolerate it. If it doesn't, I'll fix it.

Okay, I'll watch for it. Of course, I've just tried for the last few minutes and been unable to get Rhino to crash, even while holding down large chords.

Well... maybe the upcoming Rhino 2.09 will fix this issue anyway.

Edited, as crashing problem has now gone away. Probably my own fault, somehow.

Hmm ... no crashes so far with the VSTi in the latest Reaper update. Or, mysteriously, with the AU Rhino in garageband this evening.

Perhaps this has all been my own error? But how? It may be me that needs debugging - if so, apologies all round

It's interesting to read these stuff, because I have experienced this crash too and come here to find if there are others.

I Changed presets (not playing in the meantime) in Reaper 3.66 with Rhino 2.08 on win7 OS.

It didn't crash immediately, but after 5min the crash happened.

I'll restart the computer and next time try to recreate this...

(it was an empty project, only reaper loaded)

Managed to recreate it : this time Reaper crashed after 6mins when I changed to Classic Moog 1 bank High Rez preset....
