Midi CC Mapping

Hi,

I have installed touchpad2midi and trying it use that as midi controller with Adobe Audition 3 (AA). I verified that the midi in flashes up and CCs from x/y of mousepad are being seen (when I go to midi triggers, I see the channels/values Channel 1: 57 and going up and down as I move along x/y on the mousepad)

I checked out that this behavior on energyXT as well.

However, I can't seem to get the effects (cc) assigned to the x/y to bear upon the notes played by the virtual keyboard/synthesizer in AA (or on energyXT)

e.g. I have assigned modulation/pan on x/y, and when I play a note on the virtual keyboard, I can't see the note modulating or panning.
