 Sounds good but not better than any number of plugs I already own and doesn't do enough different to get me really interested. I wish they would have taken it further. I can already "morph" to my heart's content using Alchemy. Maybe checking out the actual demo might help me get excited but as it is... meh.

I find the GUI flickering when I change preset, this is in Reaper 3.72 on Windows - AFAIK this is a known problem with Reaper & RMV (and maybe some other LinPlug's too). Haven't had too much of a play with it yet though..

@Zercorssing: Personally i must admit that i think that Alchemy "morphs" in an other way as MorphoX is doing, i still know booth synthesizer and MorphoX quality of sounds is much better as the Alchemy sounds, in MorphoX you have "real" morphing like in no other synth, for me it's lotsa fun to play around with this baby...

@Shifrin: No problems here with Logic 9.1.2. on a mac.. Hm..

I just had a quick kick of the tires with the demo, and it's kind of interesting when you start messing with it. There's only a handful of presets to judge from, but on the plus side, they have a broad range of styles.

So, is it a candidate? Is it on my buy list? The temptation is present. I kind of like LinPlug products: Mr P has always been considerate of requests for help, and Albino is a firm favorite of mine. MorphoX is less 'morphy' than say FM8 or Alchemy, but on the other hand it's richer-sounding. As a classic subtractive oughta be. A week or two of occasional tests may sway me ...I wish it was $30 cheaper, though.

...congratulations, LinPlug! It's a real fun synth - straight-forward and pretty intuitive (apart from the fact I have to tune the osc in the mod matrix - took me a few seconds to figure that out). I also like the fact that the waveforms are a bit more categorised as it is done in Albino - this is really helpful. Though it would be nice to have a bit more waveforms, but I don't know if it's just the demo version possibly offering a limited set. However, there is one point that bothers me a bit - for a synth that's called MorphoX and that has quite a big list of modulation destinations I would have expected that I'd also be able to modulate the oscillators' wave knobs. This would have been great for Albino and I'm sure it'll be very cool for MorphoX, too. Anyway - I think, this is a real cool synth which makes it very very easy to create extraordinary sounds. For its concept - :tu: :tu:

I would say different. Better is a very subjective term.

+1

Just bought it because I was liking the sound quality. At first try I can already confirm that I will have lots of fun with that one. Very simple but efficient concept, and the sounds seems quite different than many other synths I have...anyhow the presets does.

I do love Alchemy but find it quite different in many regards.

Great job Peter!

The Demo really needs an INIT patch so we can give it a proper go................I could make my own but I'm ...........too lazy......... :P

You could post a request in the Sound Design forum.

I gotta tell you that this is one of the most versatile solid sounding synths I've tried. No namby pamby airy fairy arty farty wishy washy hoity toity new age amience (unless you really want it) but quality presence - rich robust oscillators and filters that sound real (Moogic? OBic?) with morphing! This is what the Prophet VS attempted to be (back when the word synthesizer meant something - and sort of reminiscent of the era just before the Wavestation shook my world by storm, and though I LOVE my Korg, there was a quality about the VS that still sends tingles up and down my spine (just thinking about it does this now).

Buy this, And thankyou Linplug you've made my day

I don't suppose it would hurt to post the INIT patch here.....I mean it's just a blank patch.
