Yep! It's finally available a la carte. Get it while you can! (just kidding, it's not temporary). Beautiful sounding kit. A lot of fun. If you're an Infinite Player owner it is a must-have if you like tribal world percussion drum kits a la Peter Gabriel.

Just scooped it and am enjoying the sounds a lot! Nice to have something really unique to play with.

On the product page, there are 4 instruments named "Taos Kick" in each of the three formats. What's the difference between them or is it a typo?

It's especially great to see sets from the Drum Masters 2 Platinum become available a la carte. (I have Drum Masters Platinum, which didn't include about five items that were added to DM2 Platinum - including the Jazz Ludwig kit, Bonham 2 kit, this Taos kit, and a couple of grooves packages.)

Squids - any hints on whether those other sets will eventually become available a la carte as well?

(I'm wondering if I should wait and buy one of the cheaper bundles that includes the ones I'm missing instead of buying them a la carte. In the meantime, I'll probably buy an Ocean Way Drums SE set or two instead.)

At some point we're going to have a better system for picking out a la carte kits. The only reason they aren't ALL available that way is that we don't products to get "lost" in a sea of other products. But since we're so heavy on drums and we have so much more coming we're going to try to do a system for picking and choosing that is easy to follow. The chart thing is a good step in that direction but we can do better. So... probably/maybe/eventually. ;)

Not sure. I'll have to look into it and let you know. I think it could just be different takes with different beaters or something. But I'll find out.

Wait until you see what's next! Midi grooves from the masters themselves. I have Danny Gottlieb in the studio right now doing midi grooves on the V-Drum kit!
