Yes! here it is, It's just an update pack.. Simply copy and replace all files. The biggest changes is the layout of the sfz file, I've removed all rowchanges that sfZed made so it should be 100 times more readable now.(thank you wonders of wim text editor) There's a retuned version by Markus Fiedler, He also has some other really great free sample libraries, I'm very fond of the natural concert guitar, check it out.. it's all in german tho http://terzmagazin.de/terz/creative-commons-libraries (if you want you can also give me money ;D)

**Gratifying update** I'm happy to tell you that linuxsampler now offer automatic builds of their svn version so now you too can use this piano without hassle

Also for osx it seems; http://download.linuxsampler.org/packag ... snapshots/

If anyone happen to be interested, I've released a new version of my little grand. It's quite a while ago since I released it tho.. There are now 3 versions, one 48khz a 44.1khz and an ogg vorbis version. It has still only been properly tested on linuxsampler and they haven't yet released a non svn version with sfz support :/. I think the time might come for it in the coming months tho. It is after all one year since they released 1.0

http://download.linuxaudio.org/torrents ... V2.torrent

What's changed; (in a sense, not that much actually ;P)
* Re-exported all notes with all lowcut filters removed and eased off some eq on some notes around C4
* Replaced all pedal noise samples, there are now two down and two up samples.
* Increased ampeg_veltrack on release harmonics from A0 to C2
* Increased ampeg_release to 0.850
* Introduced a 44.1khz16bit and an ogg vorbis version

Have fun!

Edit; Here is how linuxsampler + rosegarden plays this midi file http://www.free-scores.com/MIDI/debussy ... e-608.midi

Hi rytmenpinne. Thanks Very Much!!
I have downloaded the ogg version and loaded it in ARIA Player, the garritan one.
It works OK, appear to be.
I played and recorded some seconds with the sound of the Salamander sfz. No reverb or midi edition, so with the purpose of example how it sounds to anyone interested:

Thanks again.

well played, and it's nice to hear it playing something else, I've listen to the same midi track quite alot of times when I made it :)

I guess I recognize it :P there seem to be some interpretation differences tho, listen at the last note, the string harmonics sample is played back way to loud :P

If you have some test midi file, i can render it trough ARIA, so you can compare it with LinuxSampler.

Best Regards

I have created a new version of the .sfz file for the 44.1khz16bit version, to be able to load the samples on a "small" PC: with less than 2GB of RAM.
It has only 8 velocities, but plays beautifully in sfz.
You can get it here:
http://www.sylfid.com/tmp/SalamanderGrandPianoV2_8v.zip
Of course, you still need the original samples: it's the file

Here is the ARIA Player interpretation. I render offline in ARIA the midi file, no reverb or volume edition:

Thanks for doing this! I had just DL'd the 16 vel. layer SFZ file (and accompanying wav samples)yesterday but it would crash reaper, and it would not load or run in DFD mode. This one worked right away. Then I tried the larger SFZ 16 vel layer version and it loaded as well for some strange reason! Then I clicked it within SFZ player to change back to the 8v version and it crashed again.

So, this version should be a lot more stable for my machine than the other 16 v version. Thanks again!

How much RAM do you have on your computer?
The original files, with 16 velocity layers, seem to need at least 3GB of RAM.

It's a pity that linuxsampler evolves soooo slowly, and that the SFZ support still is not in a stable release. Their stream of gig files is super! DFD dont work with SFZ free vsti, when you load SFZ files, only with soundfonts. SFZ free vsti is outdated for this really big libraryes.

Thanks for the replies. I only have 2 GB Ram so I guess that's where the problem comes in... and I didn't know about no DFD w/ SFZ'z - only SF's. Great sounding though!
