VST subhoster that can morph between 2 presets ?

Is there a VST subhoster that can morph (seamlessly transition) between two presets of a VST ?
Googling around, I was surprised that I didn't find anything dedicated to this.
Only things I found were Kore (which I don't plan to buy only for this purpose), Cantabile (no VST version yet) and Polac VST loader for Buzz (which I don't use).

Any other choices ?

If you want real morphing of params (not just crossfading of sounds) with up to 8 saved variations per patch (actually more if you build in multiple sublevels), Kore 2 is well worth it.

that's crossfading and not morphing.Mushy Mushy wrote:Ableton Live and the crossfader.No_Use wrote:Is there a VST subhoster that can morph (seamlessly transition) between two presets of a VST ?

yeah, I know Kore has good capabilities doing this.aMUSEd wrote:If you want real morphing of params (not just crossfading of sounds) with up to 8 saved variations per patch (actually more if you build in multiple sublevels), Kore 2 is well worth it.
But as I said, as I don't need any other Kore features, I feel it would be over the top for me considering the price.
Thanks though.
Wouldn't that actually a niche yet to be filled ?
A lightweight subhosting VST just doing parameter morphs ?
(but maybe there wouldn't be much demand for such a thing)

Chainer can be inserted as a "Vst" instrument/effect, and is semi-seamless if you do the transition between presets by hand with the "A/B" slider.

Both Energy XT (v1) and Chainer offered preset morphing to generate patches (as with Cantabile) but it wasn't that usable for realtime performance (unlike in Kore 2)

I would agree with there being potential "performance" shortcomings, but both Chainer and Cantabile work well for me, for patient live "recording" sessions.aMUSEd wrote:Both Energy XT (v1) and Chainer offered preset morphing to generate patches (as with Cantabile) but it wasn't that usable for realtime performance (unlike in Kore 2)
Chainer in particular, using the aforementioned "A/B slider". Obviously the closer the resemblance (rather than radically different sounds/settings) the presets have to one another, the "smoother" the transition. Though "radical" can be interesting.
As an aside, would you know if the Kore 2 software which comes with the hardware will work without the hardware? IIRC it was available seperately up until recently, and now (it appears) there is only Kore player as an independant entity.
In other words is the hardware a dongle for the full version?
thanks

Yeah it works without the hardware - the hardware makes a great controller though but it's no dongle.Shabdahbriah wrote:I would agree with there being potential "performance" shortcomings, but both Chainer and Cantabile work well for me, for patient live "recording" sessions.aMUSEd wrote:Both Energy XT (v1) and Chainer offered preset morphing to generate patches (as with Cantabile) but it wasn't that usable for realtime performance (unlike in Kore 2)
