help me understand what is going on in this song please.

hi there, in a desperate attempt to make some progress i have started to try to analyse / pull apart tracks i like which ultimately involves a bit of sound design and a bit of theory both of which i am pretty novice at, and was wondering if you could lend me a hand with this one...

would i be right in saying this is in the c minor pentatonic scale?

background keys: C, D#, G

progressing to: C, F, A# at around 16 secs

also, i'm interested to know what notes the lead "wah" type sound is made up of? is it a chord or note progression? it seems like it is layered somehow. i just can't quite figure it out.

i will also post this in the sound design section as i'd quite like some guidance on creating that kind of wah sound which i find really great.
