Hi,
just read the FM review, it mentions Rhino doing resynthesis. Is this true? Couldnt find anything in the manual.

It can import wav files into the additive editor and resynthesize a single-cycle wave with the same harmonic content.

Resynthesis is fun. Make sure you edit the wave down to a single cycle in an editor before importing. Once imported there are several ways to animate it to life. One of my favorites is to import several slices taken from different times and cycle through them with the envelopes. Try some subtle looped waveshaping, too.

Or don't edit it, and you get a cool grab bag that's a starting point for something... importing drum hits is particularly fun
Ooh, I'll have to play with that! One of my favorites is to import several slices taken from different times and cycle through them with the envelopes.
