Hi,

Do you think this is playable?

If so, why?

Thank you.

Playable but kind of unusual. The A could be played as a harmonic on the A string, or you could finger it normally in 3rd or 4th position. B would then within reach on the E string.

Give your players plenty of time before hand to get set before they have to play it.

Downsides:
Anyone other than expert players will probably not give you a solid sound because of the nature of stops way up there in higher positions.

Also, things that are tough or unusual need to be "worth it" (i.e. needed for a prominent effect or so on). If you are simply trying to get all the notes in a harmony arranged in your ensemble, my suggestion is for you to re-think this a bit.

BTW, I got your IMs and I will respond shortly! Sorry for the delay. :D

If it's a mass of violins, you can always take it divisi.

if this's in real life, for a single violin, lose it.
it's a *problematic* stretch for most and it can't, in and of itself be of such a splendor you have to stick with it over that consideration.

but your virtual instrumentalist instructed by your sequencer might not have a problem, depending on scripting... (but I recommend learning what happens 'really' before getting into that kind of thing too much)

Right - or have V1 play one note, and V2 play the 2nd note.
