I wonder if it will include piano roll, and what does it mean by "Photorealistic dynamically configurable 85-key keyboard"....

On the long list of reasons I traditionally ignore Fruityloops is added Imageline's misuse of the word "Photorealistic" in order to advertise a MUSIC APPLICATION. Seriously, why put any effort in "photorealistic visuals"??
(Before anyone comments: I'm still interested in any mobile music apps, even from Image Line, but this isn't a good start for them.)

We have no idea how those (hidden) dummy pages surfaced but they were a placeholder for what has to become : www.flstudiomobile.com & www.flstudioapp.com. We've replaced it with an early screenshot for now :ulozilla wrote:I wonder if it will include piano roll, and what does it mean by "Photorealistic dynamically configurable 85-key keyboard"....

And of course FL Studio Mobile will have a pianoroll.

JMC, a lot of developers cross-compile for both iOS and Mac. I'm thinking of OmniGraffle for example. Any chance of... dare we hope...?

and naturally Android is left out.
i am almost starting to wish a McDevice of some kind was of enough use to me to justify buying one.
oh well.
I can keep using FL Studio on my Slate of course, but the buttons are really small for that.
JMC - any chance of a touchscreen optimized version of FL at some point?
Tablet computers have been around for most of a decade now, and I remain surprised at how few options there still are for them.

According to their forum that's because Gol still think that majority of "music crowd" are stupid people which need to be abused with photo realistic GUI and vintage tube pictures in order to think that application is good sounding (i am not kidding).chis wrote:On the long list of reasons I traditionally ignore Fruityloops is added Imageline's misuse of the word "Photorealistic" in order to advertise a MUSIC APPLICATION. I was thinking that he is exaggerating (as usual) but now when i see these screenshots i think not..
No not exactly but gol said everything in that direction. I am not pulling this - it's in your forum actually. I am surprised that gol wasted so much screenspace to give room for virtual "jack holes" and "tubes". But Sequencer screen seems great.JMC wrote:Those are/were not our words.
Apart from fancy gui i am glad that more people can enjoy FL Studio. I can't claim but i think someone said that FL Mobile application (projects) is compatible with big FL Studio - which is great

(and I can tell you I have nothing to do with the presence of those tubes, so it kinda proves my point)I was thinking that he is exaggerating (as usual) but now when i see these screenshots i think not..
I have nothing to do with that GUI (nor FL Mobile, don't you think I have enough work with FL?) you know.I am surprised that gol wasted so much screenspace to give room for virtual "jack holes" and "tubes".
I find it pretty nice, and you don't make a phone's GUI like you make one for a desktop, so that explains the giant controls (designed for retina screen on top of it, a PPI luxury we don't have for desktop stuff), the multiple pages for a less crowded GUI, and the fake background stuff to fill the rest. You should more ask yourself why there are tubes, gritty textures & oversized knobs on a lot of "pro" compressors that cost 20x what the whole FL Mobile will cost.

Well Well Well.
This looks very interesting.
As I'm due an upgrade on my phone next month, I think this is another good reason (as well as the disgusting amount of apps available)to switch from Nokia to an iPhone 3GS /4 or similar. It means I can get fruity anywhere.
JMC; I'm curious to know what plans (if any) are in place are there to host lets call them other music apps (like VST's etc) as well as the built in stuff?
TT

I don't remember anything in that nature (I'm sure you will be able to dig it up if it's there) but what's true is that the opinion of people often has very little to do with the product itself.kmonkey wrote:According to their forum that's because Gol still think that majority of "music crowd" are stupid people which need to be abused with photo realistic GUI and vintage tube pictures in order to think that application is good sounding (i am not kidding).
The only way to get Maximus to be respected as the incredible product it is ... is by pricing it the way it's priced now. If we would have put it at $49 or bundled it with FL Studio by default it would have died a silent death (and I'm not kidding either).
Regardless from the fact that those jack holes & tubes are there just to fill the empty areas on a pretty empty FX tab, I'm as surprised that you think Gol had anything to do with the design of FL Studio Mobile (or any other of the dozens of products we have in our product line).kmonkey wrote:I am surprised that gol wasted so much screenspace to give room for virtual "jack holes" and "tubes".
You will be able to take the mobile project to the desktop and edit it further in the desktop version (not the other way around).kmonkey wrote:i think someone said that FL Mobile application (projects) is compatible with big FL Studio.

I really would go for an iPhone 4 (or even wait for 5) as the screen (960x640 vs 480x320 on older iPhones) really makes a huge difference.tommtom wrote:switch from Nokia to an iPhone 3GS /4 or similar.
I don't really understand what you mean here but please consider that the iPhone CPU is barely fast enough to make it do what we make it do now so I wouldn't expect full synthesized instruments & HQ effects anytime soon.tommtom wrote:I'm curious to know what plans (if any) are in place are there to host lets call them other music apps (like VST's etc) as well as the built in stuff?
