I've just noticed this on the front page;
http://www.kvraudio.com/db/hexachrom_by_somascape
I was wondering if it was possible to search for IOS apps on k-v-r? It doesn't appear ads a platform/program type in the plug-in database search as far as I can tell. Would be useful to be able to bring up a comprehensive list of all available IOS music/audio apps.

Anyone? It would be really useful to be able to search for IOS apps if they are featured on k-v-r. There doesn't seem to be a definitive guide to audio IOS apps online. Searching through the app store is cumbersome to say the least. So far the best place I've found to disocover new apps is on Music Radar who do round ups of the latest apps. But they only usually feature a handful of new apps. Most stuff I seem to find by accident. I'd never heard of the app I linked to above until I stumbled on it on k-v-r.

You can see all the news stories on iOS apps on KVR by clicking http://www.kvraudio.com/index.php?s=mobile but that's far from a complete list. Another source could be to check top-selling lists like http://appshopper.com/bestsellers/music ... evice=ipad but one problem with these is that the category 'music' in app store includes lots of apps that doesn't have anything to do with music making. I recommend bookmarking and checking around some blogs, especially Palm Sounds: http://the-palm-sound.blogspot.com/ and http://www.promusicapps.com/ You'll find some tips there.
But I agree, a complete database of iOS music making apps would be nice to have somewhere.

.... Here's a case in point;
Great looking ipad app. I'm by no means ready to purchase an ipad yet but apps like this can help steer me towards that purchase. This looks really impressive ..... excpet I'd never heard of it until about 5 minutes ago! I discovered it comletely by accident after stumbling across a link on Gear Slutz directing people towards MIDI connectivity on the ipad. Makes me think there is loads more out there I've not disovered ...... does make me want an ipad as well I must admit. But alas I don't see enough of this to really convince me.
