In this case, I mean the database of alllll presets, not just for whatever synths the person has.
I feel like this could be a useful way to figure out what synths would be good to get in order to grow your library in a certain way. Say you want more string sounds. Pull up the database, filter by string sounds. You can see which synths have the most string presets available, and make a decision based on that.
Just a thought.

Not sure this would be so useful - you'd see the presets, but wouldn't be able to listen to them. So then you would need to download the plugin, install it, probably restart your DAW... this looks like a disruption to the workflow, quite the contrary of what Zen is trying to achieve...

Well I wasn't suggesting it as something you would do when you were in the middle of putting a track together. But when you do decide you need to expand some, this could be a useful tool to sort out how.

Hmmm, ok, then in this case, it might be something you can do on the web. This is the advantage of the Zen system, it is super easy to make a web-based browser too (though obviously, it won't be able to play the presets).
