Hi,
Here's my problem:
I have many instruments in different subsessions which I liked to control by the same knob in my controllers. Well, the problem is that If I assign one knob to one parameter of one instrument, I can't use the same knob to do other tasks in other instruments.
Is it really so, or am I missing something here. Or would there be a way to go round this?
I want to use Subsession because it's faster to change the instruments compared to changing whole sessions (setlists).

Using the midi assignments, you could program a knob which is set on your controller to say CC 44, to control the filter in absynth, and the wah position in Scarbee FX. Open the master assignments window and put it into "learn" mode. Verify your settings are going to be mapped properly before clicking Assign or Replace (essentially Add or Replace). Ive had them be kinda sticky.
I wanted two buttons from one controller to be sub-session next and prev no matter which channel it was transmitting from, no matter what session.
So I used a global filter to remap ALL incoming CC18 and 19 OMNI to Channel 1. Then assigned channel 1 CC 18 to Prev and 19 to next.
Play around with filtering and routing and youll get it done. Its really powerful.
Brad showed me how sometimes you may need to route to the Loopback device with a filter inline in order to get the assignments to pickup your function on a remapped channel.
What is the specific thing you're trying to do, and I can try to help.
