Hi,
This is probably such a basic question for most of you but here goes. What is the best way of recording sounds that I create in music apps on my iPad directly into say Audcacity on my laptop? Obviuosly a cable is needed but what sort?
I also have the same question about my Kaossilator - any advice on cabling that up into Audacity would be great as well!
Cheers
David

If the audio is recorded on the iPad, then depending on the app, you'd be best moving the audio files by WiFi. If its audio being generated 'live', as you play it, then all you need is a stereo 3.5mm jack to X cable, when X is whatever your soundcard has as inputs.telferfledge wrote:Hi,

For the Kaossilator, it'd be twin Phono to X.
What is your soundcard? If its the onboard sound of the PC/Mac then X will probably be 3.5mm stereo jacks.

Hi whyterabbyt,
The music will be recorded live. So it will be going directly into the onboard mic/line-in points. Thanks for your help!
