Hi,

Are there any decent music apps for Windows Phone 7?

Also, are any of the big developers planning on releasing any software for this OS?

I'd have to be a lot more confident that people are actually going to buy WP7 phones in real numbers before I'd risk any serious development time on it. There's been a disturbing amount of API churn in MS tech lately too, which makes me reluctant to trust whatever they're pushing today as their premier development stack.

What I've seen of the UI looks nice though.

MS has pushed a lot of new UI technologies in the last several years. Silverlight, WPF, now supposedly HTML5 apps for Windows 8. Silverlight is currently what they recommend developers use for building WP7 apps but they seem to be abandoning it everywhere else so it's hard to be confident they won't change that.

It's a game of musical chairs where they keep moving the chairs, basically. Until it's clear that they've settled on something for the longer term it feels risky investing a lot of time in the platform.

Apparently though the apps for Windows Phone 7 is the fastest growing apps OS?

I was told that IOS had around 350000, Android 200000 and WP7 70000 ish???

Last I heard iOS had over 500k.
