I've noticed that a few synths out there use wavetables from old Waldorf synths and the Prophet VS. Are those wavetables still protected by some kind of copyright or are they OK to use?

I can only speak for a small subset of the Waldorf stuff... the wavetables that have been copied from the PPG range of synthesizers. These, as I've been assured by Wolfgang Palm, are not protected in any way.

Are you aware of any good sources for these? They seem to be bundled along with Surge in Surge's own format but I'd like to find them in a format closer to the original if possible.
