It's available to purchase now as part of a Pre-order Group Buy where the final price could be as low as €84.50 (half the MSRP of €169). This offer will run until July 21st, 2011.
1. is the 64 bit version going to be released before the end of the group buy?
2. is the 64 but demo going to be available before the end of the group buy?

seems reasonable to be able to demo a product before buying, and also to be able to get the benefit of a group buy

I wouldn't count on a 64-bit version soon.. None of the Xils-lab synths are 64-bit yet.

This is correct Niels,

Well though some proto 64 bits versions are atm in production and work ( or seem to :) ) flawlessly some particular installers/versions dont work.

As we must release 64 bits versions for all versions ( Pc, Mac, VST, AU etc etc ) simultaneously, it will certainly NOT be available before the end of the Group Buy.

An estimation is Q4 2011. But really take if for it is : An estimation, there might be some difficulties we're not even aware of on the road to 64 Bits so we are obliged to be very cautious about that.

But the will is there and its a WIP. This is really all we can say atm Krim !

Hi Kriminal,

what do you mean with "can't demo". There is a dongle-less demo which should be possible to be used inside Windows 7 64-bit too.

So you are one of those which refuse to use 32-bit plugins on a 64-bit system.
What about your own plugins or are they already converted?

so i presume you're using a 64bit host?

if you wish to put it that way...i only have a 64bvit host installed, i dont want to install the 32bit version, as i would never use it, all the synths/fx i ever use are 64bit, so its not a problem
Ingonator wrote: What about your own plugins or are they already converted?
hardly, i never used them when i was 32 bit only, so no loss there.

yes, 64bit host and 64bit plugs only.

I'm using bridged in Cubase 6 x64 using jBridge. Nothing noticable yet but haven't speant a lot of time really pushing it yet!!!

Why are we still getting 32bit only versions of new plugins in 2011? Are they still tweaking the sound of the plug?
Intel Core2 Quad CPU + 4 GIG RAM

Must admit it does need to change, particularly as pretty much all stock computers ''off the shelf'' have x64bit. Even my folks who use it just for internet & email bought a cheap Toshiba and it came pre installed with W7x64. Believe Mac have also announced over the coming years they will be solely x64 bit.

Saying that, the x64 OS's run 32bit native anyway and I guess is easier to code (I am guessing).

There other point is I know a lot of muscians who's daws are still XP x32 for the stability, regardless of ram and don;t forget you only really need the extra memory for romplers, large sample banks and the like...

I am sure in the future x64 will be the only release and x32bit crew will be down bridging, which will make the most of their memory in a x32bi environment :)

How times will change :)
