It's got a 'melodic minor' aspect to it (or not).

Whatever the case of that, it's got some interesting textures.

Maybe you could have someone do a 'speech' over it at a certain point; as to how we might go on or somesuch. ... maybe a voice with filtering so as to sound like a walkie-talkie or old radio.

Post

yes that's an interesting idea mrblitz, thanks for input and for listening :)

Great as always :tu:
I love the drums and the little noises/crackles :)

Cheers

A giant being chased through a cannery by mosquitoes whilst cleaning his teeth.

It sounds ridiculous but some of the dreams I've had go muuuuch further.

This was great. It didn't go where I expected it would, and that's cool.

Thanks for this.

i'm out of town atm so it's all thumb typing and earbuds here… anyhow thankfully i was able to pull this down. came through as deliciously lofi and slightly spooky through the earbuds.

Post

thanks for listening guys :)

@ Dennis - i just have to have crackles... it's not the same without the crackles..

@ seismic - that's some weird imagery. it sounds like we should swap notes on dreams.

@ Matt - i'm glad it sounds ok on earbuds. i always forget to check.
lo-fi and slightly spooky..yes that sounds like where my head is at :help:

Just right for a weird insomnia-hazy day. Much enjoyed. Thanks, macmurphy.

This is a farcry from what I would listen to, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed it, good job!

Post

thank you very much, all of you :)

Overall sound is good. The vinyl effect, yes.. why not. There is also much noise but this a vintage effect?

Post

Very dark. Makes me want to go round the house and turn all the lights on :-o
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

Post

yes 4damind, plenty of noise! i layer a lot of stuff and i'm not shy with the saturation and tape sims on each layer. by the time they come together they can be quite noisy.
ideally i'd run stuff through a real tape machine. i'd also love some shitty old 70's compressors...

the vinyl crackle. hmm. i think i've been listening to to much of The Caretaker - Persistent Repetition Of Phrases

Post

heh, thanks Will :)

i was thinking of putting together a slick r&b jam this weekend.
now that's scary :D
