anyway
does any good dj have a method of setting up a dj playlist (the songs that one will play at their set) could you tell me how you would usually setup a playlist (have bangers, then slow, then bangers) or have songs that or emotional or create emotion straight after a banger or vice versa.
does a dj always have to have songs crossfading to one another (i.e at the end of the song (say the last 10 seconds) would gradually fade out while another song comes in at the same time they are playing) or do you sometimes like to create tension
(a good example would be the part in party rock, where the guy says "everyday im shuffling!" its split by a 5 second gap before the music stops and he says the quote, this gap seems to create tension. my point is would it create tension if one was to end the song wait 5 seconds and play a song with an ultimately recognizable intro?? (kinda waffled there but anyway
any other tips, that keep the dance floor interacting with the music?
thanks, any info given will be gladly appreciated
