There was a thread about something. I think I butted in talking about plugins shooting huge noise spikes, and then some kind soul slapped together a 'Volume Spike Safty' dll that basically is just a db threshold and sensitivity knob. It also came with a lookahead version.

I finally got into a scenario to test this thing repeatedly.
It works great! It doesnt even give a little snap usually. Its very very useful atm! Thanks again!
Me being a jerk though, I cannot remember who built it, or find the thread. I have tried so many searches, that I am baffled why I cant find it.
The dll is 'Volume.Spike.Cut.dll", but I wonder if I renamed it.

When loaded the wrapper says "VCutLate". Google finds none of this.

As I recall, no one in the thread could confirm it worked so I just wanted to confirm that the handy tool does work. Thanks again!

I wish I at least had a DL link for everyone. I hope the author sees this and has a link so this thread isnt totally stupid.

Can you remember if that was a specific thread about noise coming from plug-ins? If not, it might be time to create one.

Im not sure, but my memory is that I was thread crashing.

Theres a few things about this subject that are tricky,
because of the reasons that 'noise bursts' might happen;

-The plug is 'beta' or sommat
-The plug is a demo
-The plug is cracked
-The plug is being run on a shitty pc
-The plug is being used by someone who doesnt know what they are doing
-The plug is being used in a non-standard use

So, any of those implications muddy the waters, and make productive conversations less likely.
