Multisampling - Question?

Hi
I have the daftest question about multisampling, so please do laff! I dont do much sampling, but need to create a program for some multi note / velocity piano samples. I have recorded samples for notes C and G (0 - 6) with 5 velcity levels. Iv got them into the sound mapper in Kontakt, and they're playing back fine, but....
Midi velocity is causing the the quieter samples to be too soft (if you know what I mean). Let me explain - take note C2, vel 5. This is the loadest sample on that note, vel 1 being the softest. Vel 1 to 5 sound perfect when played back at the same volumes, like when I edited them the samples in Wavelab. But now that I bung them in the sampler, the change in volume caused midi velocity is making the softer samples hardly audiable. What I need to do is have say Vel 5 playing between midi velocity 127 - 101, Vel 4 between midi velocity 101 - 76 (this how they are mapped) etc, but without midi velocity affecting the volume of the note so much.
Wow.. this is harder to explain than I thought! Anyone have the remotest idea what Im talking about?
