hello people,

I thought it would be a good idea to start a new u-he soundcloud group.

it can be found here:

http://soundcloud.com/groups/u-he-music

there was already another group but it was slooooow (I've submitted tracks about 20 days ago and never got approved or rejected). I don't want to enter in a comptetition with this other existing group but I think that we NEED an active and inspirational u-he group !!

so, feel free to add your tracks. it would be a great place for entire tracks, entire albums, sound design tips / showcases, patch demos, etc...

I will moderate it really loosly, meaning that every genre is accepted, it just needs u-he stuff. if it gets too big, I might add other people as moderators.

so, is this a good idea ?!

Edit: Done! Wow! Almost all my tracks are U-He related! And I really just shared the tracks which are completely or almost completely made with U-he products

grrrreat idea! i just added a track where i am asking you guys to guess which u-he synths you are hearing.. i'll add two more with synths identified now...

Very cool. So what is the requirement? Does the track just need a u-he product in there somewhere? Or u-he synths need to be the main sound source?

honestly, I really don't mind.

I just want to hear what u-he can do in all kinds of music genres. with this in mind, there's only need to be a u-he product somewhere !

I just joined and uploaded 1 track.
I would suggest limiting the amount of tracks one user can post.
Otherwise your going to run out of time very quickly.
The free version only gives something like 10 hours of music, and your already used 1/2 of that time.

I think the free version of Soundcloud only provides 120 minutes. "Solo" provides 12 hours.

In any case I uploaded a track pending approval.

yeah I might put some limit to the amount of tracks one person can post at once, just to make it easier for me...

and to be honest with you, I don't think there's a limit of "time" when it comes to music contained in a group.... and I don't have the free version.

so, could you clarify all of this ?! cause I think I'm confused. the amount of time that soundcloud gives you with your account is taken by the music you upload to soundcloud. then, you can submit the music to groups, but I don't think that the groups have some sort of time liimitation. maybe I'm wrong ??

I wouldn't think there would be a limit if the tracks are just copies of those that were already loaded on the various contributors' pages and not new material never posted on Soundcloud before.

The lower part of the page has a blue line, and it says.
1 hour and 16 minutes left.
Is that possibly my own amount or the group?
I don't know.
Maybe I'll check my own time limit and see if it's the same.

Oh my mistake...that's what my own limit is.

I think it is your amount of time remaining. but I might be wrong.

uhmmm.... because next to the time remaining, there's the "get more minutes" button (that directs you to premium account). and within the premium account descriptions, you see that you can increase your personal account time allowed on soundcloud.

anyway, this is how I see it. anyone else ?!

EDIT: yeah, I see that you found you was wrong with this.
