The Unfinished Breaks Vol 1

Hey guys, I hope that in light of the fact that things disappear off the marketplace index in the blink of an eye and also that I am not some enormous corporate behemoth, I will be allowed to get away with the following announcement.
My first ever sample/loops library, The Unfinished Breaks Vol 1, has been released via the Loopseekers website.
It's a collection of 100 breakbeat loops at various bpm (ranging from 68-158bpm) that can be dropped box fresh and ready to go into any breaks, electronica or even soundtrack project. Each loop is either 8 or 16 bars in length with a large amount of variety, including fills and edits - so that one loop can serve an entire track without becoming repetitive.
At over 800mb of 24-bit WAV goodness (40 minutes of material) you're getting pretty decent bang for your buck my friends.
But my smooth words and exquisite grammar may not be enough to persuade you (you're far too clever for that!). So, how about some demos?
The Unfinished Breaks 134bpm Full Demo
The Unfinished Breaks 132bpm Loops Only Demo
The Unfinished Breaks 106bpm Loops Only Demo
Still not convinced? You're mean, but fair. Why not download a handful of freebies for closer inspection? Yes, why not...
And if you wish to have an influence on The Unfinished Breaks Vol 2, or indeed any other future packs, let me hear your ideas and thoughts. The more, the merrier.
Cheers,
Matt

hey, might b worth specifiying what kind of breaks you mean.
i guess it's a sign of my age, but i imagined these were breaks like in breakbeats, played by a real sweating drummer, in a cave, and recorded on to a steam-powered dictaphone through a vacuum cleaner or something, not some sterile midi-programmed drum loops (as well programmed as they are).
dont use loops either way, so its not like you lost a customer or anything, but thought i should perhaps mention it.
good luck with it anyway...

Bugger. How did that happen? I'm in Belgium at the moment so will fix as soon as I'm back.bpblog wrote:the freebie link doesn't work.
@monkeyweael. If only I'd supplied demos featuring the loops eh?

yes, thank you, very helpful: obviously it was the demos that alerted me to the fact that these are not live drum breaks, otherwise how else would I have found out?synaesthesia wrote: @monkeyweael. If only I'd supplied demos featuring the loops eh?
But if you'd specified this in your first post you would have saved me the bother of even listening to the demos.

I hope no-one thinks that!SampleScience wrote:oh & why the "unfinished" breaks? are they half-done?
The Unfinished is the name I write and produce under. It's a reminder to myself that I used to be very good at starting projects, but not very good at finishing them. So far it's working.
Cheers,
Matt

Just a little update to say that the demo pack is now available for download, thanks to the very kind Steven at DNR Collaborative. Also updated in the original post.
He is hosting it whilst I sort out my internet connection after moving home (oh and holidaying in Brussels!).
All the best,
Matt
