This has been released a while ago and only been mentioned in The Sound Guy's forum.

Spectral Freeze
Delay Spectral Bands
3-band Amplitude Modulation
Spectral Shapeshifter
Harmonize
Pitch Shifting
Pitch Quantization
Robotization
and some more basic things
A serious spectral multi-effects plugin that anyone interested in this kind of thing should check. They started working on it 6 years ago and only released it recently.

Very interesting.
Surprised though that Spectral Machine appears quite a bit more limited than their SFX Machine Pro, which I presume came out earlier yet seems more impressive in its scope.

It looks interesting and normally something I would buy in a heartbeat but I already have SpectrumWorks which covers a lot of the same ground. If anyone has both and could let me know if there are any significant differences it might help me decide.

SFX Machine Pro does have far more presets than Spectral Machine. Due to its modular design, once the basic architecture had been created, it was relatively easy to patch things together in new ways and create new presets.rj0 wrote:Very interesting.

In Spectral Machine, the algorithms are often quite different from each other, so each one is programmed individually. However, even though there are only 15 basic effects, there is a surprising amount of depth in how they can be tuned, and most of these effects were not possible in a time-domain plug-in such as SFX Machine.
Also, we've just dropped the price to $49.95, which comes to well under $5 per effect.

I don't know much about SpectrumWorks, but you can try the Spectral Machine demo at http://www.sfxmachine.com/downloads.html .aMUSEd wrote:It looks interesting and normally something I would buy in a heartbeat but I already have SpectrumWorks which covers a lot of the same ground. Very interesting thanks for the cue, I love tools working in the spectral domain. I have SpectrumWorx & GRM Tools Spectral Transform so the competition might be pretty ferocious, but I will give the demo a try for sure

So Spectral Machine can do a few extra things that SFX Machine Pro can't? The admin price is nice, but am wondering if SFX Machine Pro is better, being that it seems almost limitless if it's modular and you can create your own fx.sfxmachine wrote:SFX Machine Pro does have far more presets than Spectral Machine. I'm interested to hear how they compare. I don't have either that you mention, but am looking to get one of these 3.Neon Breath wrote:Very interesting thanks for the cue, I love tools working in the spectral domain. Is there a crossgrade price if you already own SFX Machine Pro?sfxmachine wrote:SFX Machine Pro does have far more presets than Spectral Machine. Tried the demo last night. There are some interesting effects that I liked, like the Delay Spectral Bands, Sine / Noise & the Spectral Shapeshifter. Cool stuff. But my spectral grounds are very well covered already with my SpectrumWorx and GRM Tools Spectral. I think SpectrumWorx covers more 'creative' and mangling effects than Spectral Machine, from what I've tried with the demo. As for the GRM Tools, well these are totally in another league imo, way more powerful than these two. But same goes with the price hehehestikygum wrote: I'm interested to hear how they compare. If I had no spectral effects at all, I would maybe consider Spectral Machine but since I'm mostly looking for powerful sound manglers, SpectrumWorx is more suited to my needs.

SFX Machine Pro does have a wider range of effects, but Spectral Machine has some new and interesting effects like Spectral Freeze, as well as some that are specific to monophonic sources. So Spectral Machine can do a few extra things that SFX Machine Pro can't? Yes - email me at sfx@sfxmachine.com .ravasb wrote:Is there a crossgrade price if you already own SFX Machine Pro?
Also, if you go to the order page, select Spectral Machine, and click "Add to Cart", you'll be offered the option of adding SFX Machine Pro for half price. There are similar "make your own bundle" offers for our other effects.
Best regards,
Earl

Thinking pretty much the same (although haven't tried GRM).Neon Breath wrote:Tried the demo last night. On sale now with code APRIL2016 costing just about $4
Five years later is it worth four bucks?

If you don't have any other spectral tools, for 4 bucks only yes.Numanoid wrote:On sale now with code APRIL2016 costing just about $4

If you already have bunch of spectral tools at your disposal, proabbly not. Demo it and judge!

I got SFX Pro at 32 bit, maybe I'll just shell out $10 to get the 64 bit version now and don't look back
